I watched Giants/D-Backs and Cubs/Cardinals yesterday. Great games and satisfies my fix for a few weeks.

The beauty of baseball is how little you need to watch it to understand it all. But really, it's well-known just among sports fans in general that the gold gloves are the biggest joke awards in all of sports. Popularity contest that embarrasses fans every year. If you truly understand everything about baseball, it would always make for an exciting watch.

If you truly understand everything about baseball, it would always make for an exciting watch. You have to assume people who don't enjoy it on TV just don't understand it? Nah, it's just objectively dull for at-home entertainment to me. You can appreciate all the little nuances and still think it's kinda boring.

To each his own, I guess. Even throughout my life when football was my favorite sport, baseball was always the most beautiful to me.

I don't disagree with you. Baseball is the purest in the sense that it isn't clock-reliant. It has the best history, so rich and full of great stories it's almost like mythology. The numbers are both most relevant and most fascinating. The ballpark experience is an integral part of American culture. In its most tense and high-stakes moments, the tension is exhilarating.
All great things about baseball. It's like a 9/10 overall sport with a 6/10 average viewing experience.

Also: Cooperstown is like sports heaven on Earth but I hate the Hall of Fame voters which sours how truly great of a museum it is. Spineless agenda-driven folks who harbor unbelievable double standards and an utter refusal to ever consider context in viewing history.

Greg Holland looking great so far as the closer for the Rockies. He was ranked around the best closer in the game in 2015 before he had Tommy John surgery, causing him to miss the entirety of 2016. The Royals released him, surprisingly. The last pitch he threw for them was in the World Series, in a playoff bracket where he tied all-time records for saves in the playoffs. He's barely in his 30's and around the prime of his career.
The most exciting thing about his pickup was that Colorado is notoriously known for the relief pitchers giving up leads and the closers blowing saves. The Rockies blew 28 saves last year, and it's exciting to get a closer like Holland, because if the Rocks didn't blow 28 saves last year, they'd have won 102 games. We've got a World Series caliber batting line-up, but a godawful bullpen. With the emergence of Jon Gray and the signing of Greg Holland, things are looking up.

Probably going to cost 35 million a year to keep Machado in Baltimore but I would pay it.

That's the best doing his thing Holy fuck!!! Yeah, Jason, you gonna have to up your game bro. Lol. No problemo. Here is perhaps the greatest infield catch that baseball has ever seen. Then to have the presence of mind to throw the ball to 3rd and try for the double play is even more amazing. If Tulo's ass would've caught the ball we'd have seen an unreal double play.

You asked for this, Tigg. I love Machado. Truly. But Nolan is a cut above everyone else.
