Sure, many remakes suck, but there are plenty out there worth mentioning. I'm working on my list now.
Show me what you got.

C'mon, zombs. You know you can trust us to treat your list with total and utter respect, right??? you started the thread, and you won't even list one movie. so no. That's because I'm working on all my top ten lists at one time. So I have a giant mass of movies I'm trying to organize and shift through in order to get all these top ten topics Tiggs started posted, and then more. I like making life complicated.

you're gonna start top 10 topics of your own, then? If they're not already started by the time I'm done with my lists, then sure. I just wanted to lay claim to remakes, as sort of an ironic statement given my strong opposition to most remakes.

Friday remake did the first four Fridays pretty fair justice.
Amityville remake gets a lot of love from what I've seen, but it's a little overrated, in my opinion.

I liked those (and those remain the only Platinum Dunes remakes I did like), but not enough to crack my top 10.

Friday would probably hit my top ten. Thing, Let Me In, are probably the only other obvious choices. The Entity remake was good! (Insidious )

I actually liked the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, truth be told. While portions aren't great, I overall liked the tone for most of the movie.

I actually liked the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, truth be told. While portions aren't great, I overall liked the tone for most of the movie. I liked the cinematography, and two girls in the cast are hot. Ermy was pretty good too, but can't think of much else that was likable for me. A huge nail in the coffin for me was Biel stealing the baby. She only made assumptions about it, and nothing is even clarified about the baby to know she made the right choice.

Wait a darn tootin' minute. I thought you guys said that the remake of Cat People wasn't horror? I could be thinking of another movie.....but during the challenge I thought a few of you told me it was not horror?

(and i think it's better)
