2 is pretty drastically underrated, in my opinion. Probably my favorite part II out of the big three (F13, NOES, Halloween). Great slasher. In all honesty, it's the best one. 3 is just the most fun.

1-5 is all pretty great. Would be pretty easily the best horror series ever if they stopped there.

Does any other horror series have five excellent movies, though?

Nope. F13 wins there.

Does any other horror series have five excellent movies, though? In a row. Though Phantasm gives it a good run though, now.

True, though III and IV, while quite good, don't stack up to the first two. Phantasm I and II may be better than Friday I and II, though. But no contest Friday III and IV are better than Phantasm III and IV. Still need to see Ravager.

Will have to see how it holds up over time though, it's still pretty fresh.

The price won't fucking drop on it. I may just have to pay 17 bucks for it.

Another one I hold in high regard is Sleepaway Camp. I give a franchise major points if it can take a turn and still be quite good. And Sleepaway Camp took two weird turns. 1-3 were all top notch 80s excellence. The 4th, while the least favorable of the bunch, still brought some lolz and top notch quality kills to the flick. And the original went trans before it was cool.

But when you do something as butt-fuckingly brilliant as the first 2, you can't keep that pace.
