Lol'd at this KD tweet from a few years ago.
"Now everybody wanna play for the heat and the Lakers? Let's go back to being competitive and going at these peoples!"

DeRozan was the highest paid player in the NBA for all of like five minutes. Shit is crazy. When the 76ers were pushing so hard for Barnes I thought they wanted to keep rebuilding for another 5 years. Outside of this season, DeRozan's teams have fared better when he's off the court than on it. He is the most overrated player in basketball and his midrange-dominant game does not fit the new NBA. I cannot understand for the life of me why anyone wants Harrison Barnes bad enough to pay him like he's a great player. He's not even a good player. Dude was wide open on pretty much every shot the entire year with Steph and Klay out there and had like an 0-20 shooting stretch in the Finals. To go from Barnes to Durant may be the biggest positional upgrade in NBA history... I didn't want to go to bed the night of game 7 without a Harrison Barnes interview.

Gotta love the Knicks assembling a 2011 All-Star team. Gonna be hilarious when they go like 44-38 and lose in the first round of the playoffs.

Sucks for the parity in the league. Basically guaranteed Cavs/Warriors Finals for the next few years. Which will make for great TV in June, snoozers before that. Personally, I would have liked to see Durant in Boston so a team could finally challenge LeBron in the East. OKC only made sense on a one year deal where he and Westbrook could enter free agency together. The organization itself let him down repeatedly (Harden trade, giving Westbrook free reign to do whatever he wanted) and tbh I believe there's a Seattle karma element to this although it still sucks for the OKC fans especially given he was really one of the two founding fathers of the franchise. I hope Westbrook stays and Presti can re-capture the magic of his first few drafts, because those fans deserve a winner. Durant joining the Warriors is absurd. And it does feel cheap. Not a good look for him at all. But hey, players don't give a shit about fan perception. Nor should they. He wanted to win rings. He'll definitely win some in Golden State as well as get the easiest shots of his career. There's still a lot to be said about the unfair double standard fans create where they demonize players for making decisions for the money, but when they don't and leave their egos at the table to win, they're still criticized. We as fans are absolutely not in a position to tear down players for violating the things we value. But in a lot of ways, this does look worse than LeBron joining Miami because they had to build a champion organically with that group. He's literally just getting plugged into Barnes' spot and they're guaranteed to win rings. Also, good to be back. Past few weeks have been among the most stressful in my work life ever. Things are finally calming down on that front. well sure if you want to be all objective about it. I can't be though. I'm too pissed. It's funny cause the worst thing about it isn't him leaving OKC, it's him going to GS and making the next couple seasons an absolute waste of time for basketball fans.

Hey man, I couldn't possibly blame you for feeling that way. That's tough. Especially since the team looked as good as it ever had against Golden State. I hope you guys lock up Westbrook to a long term deal and I'm personally excited to watch him play angry all year, kinda like Kobe after the Shaq trade and rape allegations. That's gonna be fun. You guys are still a playoff squad and I like the Oladipo trade.

Oh, and this is for Jason: LeBron surpassed MJ with that Finals. Third best player of all time behind Magic and Bird. I can get behind that. What happened to Wilt at #1? Jordan always there. /end

Apparently some fans went to KD's house to voice their outrage. Good Lord. That's not normal.

Fans gonna fan. As the day went on, I've started to feel more and more sour toward Durant. I don't have a favorite player anymore. I guess Danilo Gallinari needs some love.

Durant and Westbrook shared the number one spot for me. Now it's just Westbrook.

Okay, I'm done whining. At least until Westbrook leaves.

Come on, Nugz. Please land Wade. He might move the needle from 35 wins to 40 wins...seriously, can't think of a more pointless signing and fit than Wade but I guess they have to spend the money somewhere.
