Figured it'd be a good idea for me and anyone else to keep a list of new movies coming out that we'd like to see.
The Revenant is the main one I'm eyeing. I still need to see:
Creed Star Wars VII The Big Short The Hateful Eight Daddy's Home

after looking up what's coming out in '16 these are the ones that caught my interest: Mrs Pergerine's Home (read the book and loved it, love Burton as director, hope he doesn't firetruck it up ) Doctor Strange Suicide Squad (Cause Harley) Apocalypse Deadpool Finding Dory Fantastic Beasts Cap Will probably not see all of them in the theater, likely only Miss Peregrine's, Deadpool and Fantastic Beasts.

The Revenant and The Martian are the only 2015 leftovers I still need to see.
The 2016ers I need to see:
Captain America: Civil War Batman V Superman Deadpool Star Wars: Rogue One Finding Dory (unless it looks like another Pixar Misstep) 13 Hours (first Michael Bay movie I wanted to see in quite some time) Hail Cesar! (Dolph in a Coen brothers movie...how can I not see this?) The Jungle Book Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny Everybody Wants Some The Conjuring 2
I'm on the fence on these:
The BFG Amittyville: The Awakening Neighbors 2 Central Intelligence Suicide Squad X-Men: Apocalypse Doctor Strange

Amityville: The Awakening I hope you wanna see that because of how shitty it will be? I think there's a reason the film was pushed back for another year and a half.

Hail Cesar! (Dolph in a Coen brothers movie...how can I not see this?) I would have got excited, except no footage of him in the trailer and no billing of him in it, those dirty b!tches! I don't care if he has a prominent role, if you are going to list that Alden idiot nobody, you list the almighty Lundgren.

Of all the previews I saw before the new Star Wars none impressed me more than Jungle Book.

I saw Star Wars, The Hateful Eight and The Revenant recently.
Star Wars was great, but they definitely played it safe. Felt very antiquated, almost a spiritual remake of A New Hope. Still the best since Empire. Excited for Rian Johnson's sequel.
The Hateful Eight was pretty good. I read the screenplay in early 2014 (shout out to Gawker) and it read better on paper than it looked on screen tbh. Three hours was pretty excessive, coulda cut some fat off it. But the characters were fun.
The Revenant was my favorite of the three. Was so beautifully shot. Leo and especially Tom Hardy were awesome. Must see film of the year IMO.

Because it had a limited release, he's probably the closest to a showing being he's nearish to Magic Mountain.

I don't think I could take the massive crowds, anyway. And out of, what, 150 people, it only take one to ruin the experience. And I've suffered through enough of that crap in my life.
I'm gonna wait until next Tuesday to see the Revenant. It's cheaper, it isn't the opening showing, and I'm more likely to avoid the biggest crowds. I'm sure there will still be a good portion of people, but the lesser the better.

I'm actually going tomorrow to see The Big Short. I don't know how that movie snuck past my radar, but it looks promising.

Coworker saw it and said the info in the movie is good, but as a movie it was just meh. Let us know though, he's the only one I know that saw it and the trailers didn't really spark me much either.
