not really a fan of the spidey reveal. we already knew he was coming. they should have waited for the actual movie to show him off.

The superhero stuffs is overwhelming, though. I knew next to nothing about any of them and then after Iron Man and Incredible Hulk came out, Marvel's been popping 'em out like anchor babies.

I know. I'm just gonna have to wait until 2030 when they're all old news and stream it from a playstation because DVDs will be extinct. So there goes the box set.

This was a sure fire way to get more asses in the seats, and it's a money-shot for sure. Now the kids know Spidey's in it, so it's guaranteed more money. I like that they went the route of Deadpool (big rumor is Fox and Marvel are buddy buddy and Deadpool actually takes place in the expanded Marvel-verse, the Shield Hellicarrier is in Deadpool) with not explaining the animated eyes, they're just doing it because it was a great way to express them in the comics. Hope the suit improves with the first Spidey movie though, the webbing is very bland. I'm hoping that's closer to the "home-made" look. Still better than the awful basketball suit from ASM 1 Also, totally psyched over Antman riding Hawkeye's shaft. I stand by that sentence

Spidey's a fairy. If he grows a beard I'll be pissed. Closest he can get is shooting webs on his face, which will look more like some dude just gave him a facial. Which might be fitting.

(i don't think that marvel/disney can use him in solo movies?)

Of course it's yours He used to be the best, money-wise, when Raimi was at the helm, even the mediocre Spider-man 3. Kids still love him regardless of how A-meh-zing Spiderman 1 and 2 overall were (though i did dig the suit - best on-screen suit so far - and the cornball of 2, in spite of it's terrible reviews). This one scene felt like a good shot in the arm to hype him up again. Spiderman is Marvel's flagship, he should play with the rest of the Marvel boys (and girls). Though all that, as gitty as I was about seeing Spiderman among them, hilariously referred to as "Underroos", I was still more gitty at watching Batman fight like Batman in the newest of the Batman V Superman trailer. I guess I'm riding more on BvS because I want Affleck to succeed, even though Civil War still looks like it will be the better movie.

(i don't think that marvel/disney can use him in solo movies?) They can if it's in conjuction with Sony. Unlike Universal (who's sitting on their ass with solo Hulk movies - even Ruffalo wants to do World War Hulk), Sony is moving forward with continuity friendly Spidey. Basically, the deal is, Marvel has creative control, while it's Sony's studio. Sony mostly just distributes it, from what I understood.
