Nothing at all from Ultrabb. I would assume it is a dead company, as well, based on the lack of response and the lack of forum activity.

I would say we will be hard pressed to not start over. I am not seeing an alternative that would not simply be a band aid that runs the risk of leaving us in the exact same place.

And the old board, all is lost you think? Can't even view it?

That could be promising. I don't see wowbb on their merge list, but that may just be an incomplete list.

And the old board, all is lost you think? Can't even view it? Not sure. I think to be able to view it, you would likely get full functionality as you would be simply adding to the existing database at that point.

Looked at the V-Bulletin features, and it seems to have a lot of what we prefer, but I don't see anything about design mentioned. Do they let you design it yourself or are you stuck with templates?

I also can't tell if that $249 price is something that we'd get charged yearly, or if it's a one shot price.

I also can't tell if that $249 price is something that we'd get charged yearly, or if it's a one shot price. according to what I've found it sounds like they release a new version every few years and you have to buy the new license if you want continued support. The thing that bugged me about them is the "One month of ticket support" then they have a package for another 200 bucks a year for extra ticket support/expanded customer support. Customer service will only help for the life of their current version, if they come out with a 6.0 or whatever, you no longer get free support for issues but have to pay for it at 50 bucks a month or 200 a year or buy the new license at whatever new fee it is. I don't know how accurate the reviews are but for every good review I've read, I've read another that basically called them a rip off. I haven't read any better reviews of anyone else either really. XenForo seems to have decent reviews but again, the bad ones seem to really cut into them and tend to center around bad customer support. The only other one I've found that has decent reviews is Woltlab but I haven't really been able to find much at all about them. Except that they're German, I know that much. www.forum-software.org/forum-reviews?sort=best-user-ratedI've been cross referencing that site with other reviews and such and have so far come to the conclusion that reviewers suck and people either really love something or really hate something with very little in between

Some people love stuff while others hate. I don't go by reviews as much as my own experience.
Either way whatever you guys decide just let me know.

VBullitin is customizable. But I'm not sure to what extent so let me see what I can find out.

I haven't had a chance to do much research, but I'm hoping you guys know you can ask me if you need anything.
