I realize I'm probably the biggest fan this movie has, but I have a mind-bottling fact that left even me surprised! Ghost Story was the 3rd highest grossing horror movie of 1981, behind only An American Werewolf in London and Halloween II, and just a smidge above Friday the 13th II. Top 5: An American Werewolf in London | $30,565,292 | Halloween II | $25,533,818 | Ghost Story | $23,371,905 | Friday the 13th Part 2 | $21,722,776 | Omen III: The Final Conflict | $20,471,382 |
So proud

I realize I'm probably the biggest fan this movie has I think it's quite a solid film, but at the same time, I do rather understand how it may not appeal to some people. Still, as far as I'm concerned, it has one of the finest posters in horror movie history.

Still, as far as I'm concerned, it has one of the finest posters in horror movie history. Why? Because it's a damn cool poster. Subtle, nothing overly terrifying, but at the same time, quite foreboding. I may well be alone in this, but I was always impressed with it.

While I wouldn't say the poster is terrible, it is also is too bland for me to consider it a good design.
And this isn't bias, I don't think An American Werewolf In London, one of my favorites of all time, had a good poster either. The only poster from 1981 that I can think of that I liked was The Howling (even with the goofy tagline that sounds like a smart-ass reply rather than a legit tagline).

The poster/cover art is why I bought the movie. Too bad it sucked.

Since you willingly bought it, I don't know if it really counts as robbery. But hey, if you don't want it, I know people who would be willing to take it off your hands.

pretty sure I tossed it when I moved to OK. I haven't gone through my VHS tapes in years so it may still be there.
