Reds Win opening series, 2-1, against Phillies. Got to watch last night's game and today's game. This Reds team has talent.
I have been watching highlights and checking out player videos to catch up on who is who.

1-1 tie in the 9th against the Brewers, Arenado bombs a solo homer on an 0-2 pitch. Holland gets the save, Rocks win 2-1.
3-1 series win against the Brewers.

Bartolo Colon has certainly gained some mass. They said C.C. is 300 pounds this year but im thinking 330 to 350.

WOW! A complete game shut out for Tyler Chatwood. Only gave up 2 hits the entire game. Rockies win 5-0. One of the best games I've seen by a pitcher that I've watched in full. The future is bright for the Rockies!

Wow. Bryce Harper with a 3 run homer walk off. Good bat.
Let's discuss overall best players in MLB, including offense and defense. Who you got?

Picked the game with the worst possible match up to go to in L.A. The Dodgers best pitcher vs the Rockies worst pitcher. Kershaw vs. Tyler Anderson.
We are going to get fucking murdered. I shouldn't even go. Jesus fuck. It's gonna be like 13-1.

Anderson has an 8.59 ERA. That is insanely horrible. He already got clobbered by the Dodgers once this year and gave them their only win against the Rockies so far. And he's going in against the fucking Pitcher of the Decade on the one day I decide to buy tickets? The Rockies have the best batting rotation in baseball, so there's always a chance they save Anderson's ass and we see a football score, but I'm definitely not holding out hope. My official prediction is 13-1, Dodgers. I feel like selling these tickets. Mother fucker. I could not be more annoyed about this. The odds of this match up happening, and happening on the game that I go to... Fuck... And you know what really stings? Our best pitcher Jon Gray broke his foot a few days ago, and that's who'd be up against Kershaw. Fuck it. I'm going in full support of my boys to cheer on a win, and how sweet a win it would be if we could beat Kershaw twice in a row, this time with our highest struggling pitcher. Even if we lose, at least I get to see Nolan Arenado, the best player in baseball.

The high probability of getting shanked by LA's finest is not worth it if your team is just gonna get blown out, bruh bruh.

Cute. More google work from the guy who watches a half of one percent of the sport. I'm not arguing his batting. He is definitely one of the best. Have you studied him play center field? All you can do is act like an elitist fan. It's all you have. Also, Trout is the best. Yes, he has room to improve. He's pretty average in that department. Good thing batting accounts for significantly more value in baseball than fielding. That is absolutely, 100%, not true. You don't seem to realize how important positions like 3rd base, short, and center field are. Those positions, especially the first two, are the sole reason why every single batter in baseball does not get a hit most of the time they're at bat. There are so many factors at play on one simple ground ball to 3rd.

You should let baseball scouting and personnel departments know this, because their metrics weigh hitting in significantly higher regard than fielding. You don't need to assume I don't know what I'm talking about every time I disagree with you. We value fielding differently. Clearly. It's not an issue of what I don't understand.

Because so many of these up and coming athletes have already established what they can do on defense. But these same people have never stared at a four-seam fast ball from Clayton Kershaw, or an 86 mph slider from Adam Ottavino. Just because they scout a bit heavier for hitters doesn't mean it's significantly more important than defense. It's pretty simple, really. A guy can go 0-for-4 at the plate, but because of his stellar play at SS, the 3 runs he saved all game ended up being the difference maker. Defense is equally important.
