1) Stand By Me 2) Creepshow/The Shining (can't decide) Stephen King and I are in agreement of the best Stephen King movie, by the way. I couldn't sleep last night. Laid around for an hour. Had to be to work in the morning. Brain just kept rolling. Decided to put on Stand By Me. Watched the whole thing. Been a few years. Gotta be his best. I think every human on the planet can relate to this movie in some way.

I know King claimed that as of 1986, but I was curious if it still held up after all these years (his opinion, given we've had Shawshank Redemption since).

Somebody interviewed him in 2014 and he said "Probably Stand By Me". Gave praise to The Green Mile, Misery and a couple others.

I thought Shawshank was really good. Can't wrap my head around all the GOAT status it gets, though. I liked Green Mile better.

King saw the new version of IT and seems to be happy with it. The only movie I'm looking forward to more is Star Wars.

They're already done filming the new IT movie? I didn't know they started.
Seems rushed...

They're going to start production on the Adult half soon, and I haven't even heard if they cast the adult Losers club yet.

Same here. The only misstep I see (and it might not even be bad on screen) is the tutu. Again, I'm sure it's relevant to the time period the suit represents, but...lulz. I was surprised they stuck with the silver/orange look from the book, but good on them for that.

That tutu is less than intimidating. Tim Curry is also a tough role to fill.

Yep, and luckily I know nothing about the new guy, so I have no preconceived notions about him.

Honestly, it's the performance. Curry could have been rocking that same tutu/get-up and still scared the piss out of me as a kid, and make it stand up today. Clown costumes are goofy regardless, and if every one is on point on what to bring to the table, it won't matter.
I say this wholly humbled as a dude who completely dogged Heath Ledger as Joker prior to the real deal. I'll keep the faith.

Only thing I remember about the Heath comments was when he died and Foo was like "welp, looks like Heath will be praised as GOAT joker" or something.

I remember your Heathbar comments I might have said that once or 50 times. And I remember pics of when the scars came out, I'm like "ohhh so edgy". And yet it all came together like peas and carrots.

Only thing I remember about the Heath comments was when he died and Foo was like "welp, looks like Heath will be praised as GOAT joker" or something. I shitbagged the choice for awhile, some others did, D was pretty indifferent, and Foo completely shitbagged him upon his death as "there goes another drug user, useless fuck getting praised!" and shiz, as Foo does. People bitching about a casting choice usually isn't as memorable as Foo taking a dump in a dead person's mouth.

Even though there was already that praise with those first trailers before his death, and Michael Cain claiming he was going to get an Oscar months before the first trailer was seen
