Pay the Ghost Some pretty silly overacting from Nicholas Cage (the scene with his boss lady where he loses it was one of these) and the usual crybaby stuff from The Walking Dead's Lori with missing kid and typical ghost crap thrown in. Nothing special. Plus they wrapped it up in a pretty bow in a few minutes at the end. Didn't care for that. I have a feeling that's how The Other Side Of The Door is gonna play out. Hehe. I just watched the trailer for that Other Side and it has Lori in it too! Description says about a portal. Same in this one. Guess she didn't want to try new things.

The Revenant ................. A+
Gorgeous movie, totally rooted for Glass (Leo) to get his revenge on Fitzgerald (Hardy). That bear attack was fucking crazy.
Ant-Man ................. B+
Enjoyed this quite a bit, even though I'm not much of a fan of this particular comic. Rudd is great as Lang, and I hope in future movies, they reflect on Douglas' Pym as a woman beater. They seemed to hint at some darkness in his past with his wife, but no details. For a "filler" Marvel movie, this was fun.

Knock Knock Wasn't too shabby. The trailer pretty much shows you everything you can expect from it, and it's definitely a more subdued form of Roth than we are used to, which as a big Roth fanboy I was kinda disappointed but get he wants to try different things (this is a thriller not a horror flick). It was definitely fun to see my boy Keanu get a little wild and naughty. It's worth a look but nothing to write home about. Except I give it a 10/10, because that Spanish chickadee Ana de Armas elicited this For the first time since Margot Robbie. Woooo!

Bone Tomahawk was a night alternative though.

Zombie Decadence (aka Zombies vs Strippers) It started out with a few funny parts but hopped on the train to shitsville soon after. I only watched 3/4 of it but believe me that was enough. Now I love me some Full Moon but this was bad. Not even "bad but still entertaining"...nope...just awful.

The Diabolical
A Mother and her two kids are being attacked by unknown disfigured beings inside their house and tries to figure out what is happening.
The story is rather simple and it manages to deliver a different spin on the haunted house tropes. Overall, it's a decent watch and I say it's worth a viewing at least once.

The Martian .................A
Damn excellent, or near excellent, movie. I can see the comedy now, it has its quips that make you laugh (kind of a make-light-of-shitty-situations sort of thing) and this might be my favorite Matt Damon performance, damn. It was sorely missing the atmosphere of a Hans Zimmer score though, in fact I wonder why Ridley hasn't been working with him recently. Harry Gregson-Williams was serviceable but nothing special in his music scoring. While watching many scenes, my own head started playing some Zimmer music from like The Thin Red Line in place of the meh score.

Girl House
To gain some extra money, Kylie a College student decides to join an adult webcam house where everything is broadcasted 24/7. Kylie soon gets involved with a crazy member called Loverboy and things start to get out of hand when he manages to locate Girl House. Equipped with a toolbox and his Mannequin mask on, Loverboy beings his rampage on all those inside Girl House.
Overall, this was a pretty solid and entertaining slasher. The look of Loverboy was simple and kind of reminded me of Chuck Connors in Tourist Trap. The kills, while not the most inventive, they were done is a visceral manner that helps get the point across that this guy means business.

Intruders
Anna is Agoraphobic and lives with her dying brother Conrad. Conrad soon passes away from Cancer and while Anna is suppose to be there for his funeral, she is unable to leave as three robbers break into the house. The robbers thinking Anna is at the funeral find her and begin to play a hide and seek type game until the robbers are actually the pawn in Anna's own game.
Overall, I enjoyed the story. At first, based off the synopsis I thought it was gonna have a supernatural element, but I was surprised to see it done in a very human manner for the reasoning as the film progressed. The film dose approach the home invasion aspect good, even with the tiny twist of one upping the robbers and the robbers are complete a-holes and deserve what's coming to them. It's not perfect, but the film does a fine job with it's storyline about Anna and what is basically a film about coping and forgiveness.

The Revenant
Pretty damn good. Not something I'd care to watch on a regular basis though. The tone was a little too depressing.

Bone Tomahawk I really enjoyed it. Russell is such a badass when he stands up at the end. Good crap! Favorite part had to be the cannibal "half"time. Hehehe. I didn't mind the slowness either because once the action happens it happens fast. Almost too fast. I had to run for the remote because I missed it (I was looking down at notes ) and needed to play it back. LOL.

Straight Outta Compton
of the movies I've been trying to catch up on this was the one that interested me the least. And I really only bothered because my nephew's been bugging the hell out of me to watch it. Glad he did. Great movie. I'd put it as my 4th favorite of 2015 after Mad Max, Star Wars and Creed.

What if you dislike rap and despise the NWA?

Still a good movie. I'm not big on rap, though I do think NWA was better than most. There's enough drama to keep it interesting and the acting is pretty good. Especially the the guy who played Dre. Can't promise you'd like it but I would recommend giving it a shot.

MX, the $64,000 question I was really trying to get at is how much white guilt do they wish to project upon me?

none, unless you were a cop in the late 80's - early 90's. I wouldn't be singing its praises if it was a bunch of racist bullshit.
