Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 ...................... A+ Think I enjoyed this one even more than the first. Stallone's cameo was great, though not a significant character, still bad ass. Kurt Russell as Ego is my favorite MCU villain, definitely. I know all the fangirls still cream over Loki, but I put Ego above him. Reviews claim while it's still fun and good but doesn't do anything to elevate it above the first, I disagree because Ego was FAR better than Ronan (who I liked as a stick in the mud). Didn't think it was better than Logan though. I'm with you on this one. I should state: Ego is my favorite BIG SCREEN MCU villain. Kingpin on Daredevil is still tops MCU for me, but he's only been small screen.

Didn't think it was better than Logan though. It has Stallone! Please god let it be Dredd. Pretty pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Nope, not Dredd. I will say who he plays I'm a little let down, only because they were SO secretive about him. He's a character not well known, {Spoiler! Click to View...}He's Starhawk/Stakar Ogord but just by Stallone's presence, and small amount of time, he's given some bad-assness. Clearly they have plans for him in the future. Oh, and Ving Rhames has a cameo too, totally unexpected. I just looked at IMDB, and just confirmed that it was Michelle Yeoh that I saw too. {Spoiler! Click to View...}Stallone's got his own crew of star bandits after credits, lol

Guardians of the Galaxy (I can finally click on D's spoiler tags!!! ) Loved it. That arrow scene with Yondu!!! I can't wait to watch that again. Didn't get to see three of the five extra scenes though. Someone had to pee. I looked them up at home. Also watched Jack and Jill. I was flipping channels and it was at the part where she gets knocked out with the Price is Right wheel. Cute movie. Still need to see the beginning but what I did see was pretty funny for a Sandler flick. David Spade as that blonde gal. How did they do those boobs???!@!!

Didn't like Guardians 2. Terribly written, the jokes were unnatural and forced with none of the charm of the first movie and the last half dragged like no other. I'd give it a C-.

FWIW, loved the first Guardians. Easily one of the best Marvel movies.
This one and Deadpool both left a bad taste in my mouth. I just didn't find either film funny at all. It took a few minutes to realize the "Hey, this is a rated R superhero movies, here's some forced raunchy jokes" shit in Deadpool would be incredibly cringe-worthy from start to finish, and with Guardians 2 the charm and chemistry between the cast felt undermined in the interest of getting off weak jokes.
MCU, please hire someone funnier to write dialogue.

Marvel hasn't been the least bit funny in years.

I liked the comedy. But I loved the characters and their portrayal. That's what does this film justice. Willing to not over complicate the plot and instead develop interesting characters with nuance.

Up to my eyeballs in classwork. I keep treating myself to a break each bit of work I get done. First break was me getting to watch Beyond the Gates. It had three nice gore scenes but a pretty blah sucky ending. Cheesy but fun. Second break was watching Clown. I'm only halfway through but I really like this one. I am hoping he turns all nasty by the end.I swear I've seen parts of this before. Maybe on a trailer? Don't know.

I had more fun in the beginning when they were playing the game. Were you trying to read the movie titles too in the store? I saw Demons! I was a little weirded out that the video store had home taped videos being rented out. ? What??

What?? the playing the game part was fine. that's what started all of the stuff i liked. but it really dragged for a long time. i didn't think to read the names of the videos. i probably should have.
