It didn't blow me away but I liked it well enough. The end was cool, if predictable. Great use of sound.

The more I think on it, the more I like it. Maybe I was just in a mood when I saw it.

The more I think on it, the more I like it. Maybe I was just in a mood when I saw it. Some great visceral scenes and funky premises. I think it was better than initially expected.

The Windmill (aka The Windmill Massacre) 2016 Pretty enjoyable horror on Netflix with some good gore scenes. The Miller/Master had a decent look to him as well. The face reminded me of Cropsey. And that final scene...

Ataud Blanco This was a fun one. I couldn't figure out what was happening until the last moment. Love when that happens! It starts with a kidnapping, than plays out like a cruel game which includes a saw wielding killer and ends with a nice twist that makes you think back over all the events that occurred.

Pray for Morning (2006)
This movie feels a bit longer than an actually is. While clocking in at a normal 90 minutes, Pray for Morning suffers from various problems that seem to drag the movie out. In it, a group of friends breaks into an old hotel, which has been uninhabited for at least thirty years, and is the scene of brutal deaths that took place years past. Not a bad plot, but not overly creative either. Truth be told, I can't even describe all the problems this movie has, but believe me, they're there. Firstly, it takes a little while for each of the eight main characters to get fleshed out, meaning that before that happens, we're left with pretty much interchangeable young adults. Even toward the ending, though, none of the remaining characters stood out. The constant teleportation got a bit annoying (especially when one of the characters keeps insisting they're just lost – as if popping up in a room on a floor you weren't on seconds ago isn't an indicator of a bigger problem than being lost), but that's marginalized a bit by the fact that the malevolent spirit they're facing was a magician in his previous life. Elements of the movie fall flat, and this is most clearly seen in the final twenty or so minutes, in which a plot twist arises, followed by an explanation of something that doesn't make much sense. Not to say that answers weren't provided, but I felt as though I was missing something. Just to note, the movie isn't a terrible one – there are some decent scenes, even some more experimental scenes, that stand out, despite the low budget (through most of the film, a bright light represents the spirit of the magician). That said, just like most of the characters in the film, Pray for Morning just comes across as bland. A mostly forgettable experience, all-in-all. Robert F. Lyons and Udo Kier do well in their respective roles, at least. 5/10.

Star Trek Beyond (2016) I like Idris Elba in a lot of movies but I didn't care for him as Krall. They way he spoke so chopped, made him sound like a caveman. Story was fun and I liked all the new characters. I was quite impressed with the Jaylah character. That makeup! Plus one hell of an actress. Looked her up and she is the mummy gal in the new Cruise movie. I just might have to watch that now.

Everybody Wants Some. It's Dazed and Confused with college baseball players instead of High school football players.

I'm sure it's a Van Halen reference.

The Disappointments Room (2016) I was wondering why I hadn't heard much about this one when it popped up on Netflix. Maybe because it is a disappointment. Horrible plot, bad acting and ghosts that aren't scary.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 ...................... A+
Think I enjoyed this one even more than the first. Stallone's cameo was great, though not a significant character, still bad ass. Kurt Russell as Ego is my favorite MCU villain, definitely. I know all the fangirls still cream over Loki, but I put Ego above him. Reviews claim while it's still fun and good but doesn't do anything to elevate it above the first, I disagree because Ego was FAR better than Ronan (who I liked as a stick in the mud).
Didn't think it was better than Logan though.

I heard they were gonna cut that scene from the home video market for some reason.

You know what was funny though. Was the movie sponsored heavily by Krispy Kreme. Why did they have a huge KK sign in their living room. Maybe they said something and I missed it. Just thought it was weird to have a four foot hot now right behind him. Then when she went into that old timey store the nicest thing in there was the donut case that was lit like it was hooked up to the energizer bunny's butt. Just such weird product placement? That freakout was awful. Overacted too. Does Beckinsale always overact and I just didn't notice because I was oogling werewolves in Underwold? Plus she almost bashed her son's head in with a hammer and he hugs her. Stupid rant. Stupid movie.
