haven't seen robert (or babyblues which is also supposed to suck), but my least favorite, as it stands, is probably seed of chucky.

Goosebumps
Fun kids flick with horror elements. Definitely fun for those of us that have read the books to see all the ones they throw in.
Livid(e)
I really dug this one. Probably my second favorite french horror after Haute Tension. It's on lists for fucked up french horror films, but it's not up there with HT or Martyrs and shiz, but it has it's moments. Pacing starts off pretty slow but about a half hour in it starts to hit it's stride with a creepy haunted house vibe (great location and house or sets they picked for this), and then in typical whack-a-doo french horror fashion completely switches gears, turning itself more into a Gothic fairy tale with fantasy elements little bit reminiscent of Suspiria and the like. I liked the story, it has absolutely stunning cinematography, good looking female lead, and while I'm not 100% sure on the ending, it's one of 2 interpretations and I'm fine with either one. Still no American release of this so most of you are probably gonna have to wait for the American remake, lame.

Furious 7
Mindless fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had no idea Kurt Russell was in this. Pleasant surprise. Which reminds me...
Bone Tomahawk
This one will be going into my regular line up. Some douchebag told me that if you suffered through the first hour and 45 minutes it got interesting. I wasn't bored in the slightest. Good build up. Excellent payoff.

Blind Side Not the football movie. The early 90s thriller with Rutger Hauer and the ever so sexy Rebecca de Mornay. Solid flick. Would recommend it to all. Now I'm on a Rebecca de Mornay kick. The Hand That Rocks the Cradle is next!

Yeah, I watched that for the challenge one year and enjoyed it. I liked the Halloween 3 nod at the beginning and once inside the house the atmosphere was solid. The daughter scene was done nicely, but i'm with you on everything towards the end. Really one of those films that catches you off guard with the story that was being told.

The Witch
I enjoyed the story that was being told, but i'm sure the film will have a very mixed reaction. Overall, it's not a perfect film, but it was well directed and managed to create a very despairing mood. The film has a slow burn factor to it with a very drab and dull backdrop that helped build tension between the family. The only real complaint would be that the dialogue was hard to make out at times and it might be boring for those not going in expecting a well told period drama.

Didn't get around to watching The Witch, but we did redbox Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension Started off meh, but then act 2 got fairly good, at least interesting. Then it just started getting really stupid, then when they actually have the priest involved, I got psyched for a cool climax...but they totally botch it and we get a hacked up confused ending with some amazingly bad CGI FX work (like laughable for SciFi channel bad). The little girl in this was good, even though the whole invisible friend thing was totally a dull cliche by this point. The young Krissy and Katie actresses though...goddamn they were awful. Lots of missed opportunities, and mostly felt like a fan film rather than a legit part of the series. Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension ................ D

A shame that franchise turned into total shit. Yeah. I still really like 1 and 2, and even enjoy Marked Ones (total surprise) but 3 and 4 I couldn't rewatch even though I liked them okay, but Ghost Dimension, what a horrible ending. And I though 4's ending was confusing enough, GD makes even more of a mess.

Finally got to watch Deadpool. Best opening credits ever. I thoroughly enjoyed it and cannot wait for pt 2. I hope the next one runs a little longer.

Bride of Chucky ................... B-
Slightly better than I remember. Ronny Yu still proves he can't direct Americans, luckily he cast John Ritter to give some professionalism to the acting. No real memorable deaths, really, other than Ritter. Also suffers from shitty Dimension Films blue cinematography that plagued the late 90's.
Seed of Chucky ................... D+
I did laugh at several things, clearly much of the comedy worked...but it shouldn't be a fucking comedy. And the whole Glen story is awful to begin with, didn't need it at all. The story alone of Tiffany trying to take over Jennifer Tilly's body should've been solid enough. I also how less red Chucky's hair was. I tried to tell myself it wasn't the doll from pt 3, it's a recreation, but still jarring. Oh, and tons of awful CGI. Team America handled puppet-fights better that same year.

The Good Dinosaur (yeah, pretty bad that is the only movie I've seen lately ) It was really cute. And sad. But really cute. And more sad. Then more cute. That covers it.

Terminator: Genisys .................... C
Wasn't as terrible as I was expecting. Plot is pretty contrived and desperate by this point, but the worst by far is the FX. Jai Courtney is also extremely bland, but Arnold and Emilia Clarke make up for him. Emilia is a good Sarah Conner, Jason Clarke is not a good John Conner, and her banter with her Terminator makes the movie watchable.

Creed. Liked it more than I thought I would. Didn't care for the rap, running bike scene and relationship crapola. Luckily I could fast forward through that. I did really like the main actor and all the parts that hit Rocky fans in the feels. That box. UGH. I think we all yelled out what it was at once! And Stallone! To me it felt like the first with all of his lighthearted jokes and sense of humor. Yeah. I liked it. Would watch again.

Batman V Superman ................................ A Okay, the critics are mostly full of shit on this one, to the point where it's like they're making shit up just to dislike it. Batman uses guns in his dreams, yes, but they way they bitched about it, it made it sound like he was popping off people left and right. Not true, only really happens during the desert-Batman dream sequence where he's literally at war. There is a scene early on where young Bruce falls down a hole and then bats lift him to the surface. This sounded horrible when the critics bitched about it...but again, it's revealed as a dream. The movie is grim, but that's the tone DC wants, as oppose to the light and airy Marvel. There is a lot of CGI, but it's good CGI. When they bitched about other Justice League Members popping up, I was actually expecting cheesy cameos, but again they amplified their critisms for no reason. They're barely a cameo on security footage (oh, spoilers, woo hoo). Was nice seeing Momoa as Aquaman taking out a security camera though. It was all quick stuff, no cheesy band-together ending like I was expecting. A fair critique is that the 3rd act is rushed. Not the shoe-horn feeling I was expecting, luckily, but definitely rushed for time. They go from point A to point B very quickly to get through it all. No time for lingering. Doesn't hurt the movie much to me, but it is a fair strike. The whole audience loved the movie, lots of applause, so yeah the critics are really out of touch on this one. The group of 11 people I went with all enjoyed the movie. Affleck IS the best thing about the movie, he is a great Batman, and I anticipate his solo Batman movie he's hinted at directing when he's done with Live By Night. Zack Snyder also finally brought Batman's fighting style to full strength. Irons as Alfred is great too, his delivery of lines under his breath after he says something to Bruce definitely makes it feel like they have a close relationship. They definitely feel like they've done this for years. Eisenberg's Lex is annoying, but intentionally so. He's kind of an amalgam of all the millions of different Lex Luthors throughout history, lol. He plays what his is given well. You're not suppose to like him, he gives off a frustrated virgin-type, and I find this amusing, lol. I liked the conflict of the hate for Superman really wore on Cavill's shoulders. He delivered the look of someone stuck in a perpetual Damned if you Do, Damned if you Don't scenario. I look forward to the extended rated R blu ray cut. I will be seeing it again this weekend. Haters can lick my hairy crack

Should I watch Man of Steel first? It helps. After the opening credits (which plays over the Waynes being murdered) it shows Bruce's pedestrian view of the chaos of the end of Man of Steel.
