I wonder what number he'll wear. He should wear 17 as a farewell to Bork... We'll never forget you, Bork...

Holy fuck. Roby wanted 24 when he was drafted and Elway turned him down. I suspect Champ's number will be retired.

It's probably already done, at this point. Kaep met with Elway on Thursday, and now two days later there's been an agreement for a trade... Elway wouldn't have pursued that if the meeting with Kaep didn't go well. I'll bet he'll be signed to the roster on Monday or Tuesday. Well, I've heard they're still "not close" on a restructure, but could be. Keep's agent will probably negotiate for more guaranteed money. I think Kaep and Elway agreed to something on Thursday and just kept quiet to the media. I'd be shocked if he's not signed by the end of the week.

Makes no sense to go through with trade talks if the guy you want is all of a sudden not willing to negotiate. I suspect Kaep and Elway have just kept quiet about it.

Welp, Kap won't take a pay cut. Fuck him, it's time for the Sanchize.

Looks like Denver just traded Clady to the Jets for a 5th rounder. Not sure if it's this year's draft or not. Either way, we freed up a good chunk of money.

Elway with some highway robbery magic there. Every team in the NFL knew Elway was eventually going to cut Clady, who were the Jets bidding against? Anyway, getting anything for Clady is a huge plus.

Are you excited for Jared Crick, Jason? So far, I've heard pretty much all the white athlete stereotypes: "blue collar", "lunch pail", "just works hard", "gives it everything he's got"
QBs about to be going up Wolfe Crick without a paddle tbh.

We got lucky, but I think both teams win if Clady can stay healthy for one gawdam year.

I feel the same. But I also feel guilty for getting excited about signing Okung. Clady's beast years won't be forgotten. And at least he has a ring now.

Yeah, it's always a good omen when Clady doesn't play for us so should be another great year.

Just heard recently retired defensive end Will Smith was shot to death in his car in New Orleans. He was a very good player for the Saints for a decade. Very sad.
