Do they have Sonic out west? Yes. I remember they were great when I lived in Texas...then after not having them for over 10 years, I finally had them in Las Vegas and they were just okay. Not how I remembered them at all. I heard nothing but excitement about Sonic before they got here and they ended up just being generic fast food. Wonder if they were always overrated or if they altered their food as they rapidly expanded?

Does in and out use like a 2 ounce patty?
My experiences at five guys have always been pretty good. In fact they were sort of the standard to beat when I started crave. Our bacon cheeseburger is $8, and the five guys around here are like $7.50.

When I tried them again, I have had no urge to go back.

Most of the time, I taste more salt on them than the meat, too.

Let's see. I don't know how big a McD's double cheese is. I've seen people get them, and they look tiny as all fuckin hell, though. I think 4 bucks for a double-double at In N Out is a pretty good deal. Not a very filling burger, but neither is Five Guys and they're twice the price. Not all that much bigger than In N Out, let's be honest here. Still Undecided. I've found Five Guys much bigger than the danty things at In & Out, much thicker patties. Think they're the same diameter though, so Five Guys stack thicker. Their price is still the only thing that irks me about them though. Yeah, patties at Five Guys are bigger. Not really by a hell of a lot, though. It irks me that I have to pay 8 dollars for a burrito at Chipotle, and I love those motherfuckers to death. Paying 8 dollars for a burger that amounts to like half the food in a Chipotle burrito doesn't help matters. I will always appreciate their quality, though. I will say for Chipotle that they do allow you to get as much of whatever you want in your burrito. Extra beans, extra rice, extra cheese, whatever. So you can make it big as hell, just have to pay for double meat most of the time.

I've watched them get made so big the person can't fit a bite in their mouth (in turn, dumping out the toppings till they can fit, then eat the toppings like a salad later)

Love the customization at five guys. Bacon double cheeseburger, tomato, lettuce, jalapeños, BBQ sauce, gherkins. Boom. Superburger.

Five guys probably has 75% more money in ingredients for the same $8 item. Rice, beans, and tortillas...that is the rock bottom of cost in the food service world.

Man. Double-doubles are by no means huge (I sometimes get 3x3's) but they are definitely bigger than McD's double cheeseburgers. Dunno what the hell's going on in Riverside, shrinking burgers.

So we have at least 2 people voting for Five Guys who have had never had In N Out. This is more shameful than Crooked Hillary.

I've said before, but it's worth repeating: I've never had either one, so can't vote.
