Other Californian's thoughts on Farmer Boys? I rarely see them mentioned, but they've become probably my second favorite chain burger.

Really? I always see awards on their walls voted best Burgers and shit. *looks up* Hmmm, looks like mostly an Inland Empire chain, based in Riverside (why I see so many of them), with some locations in Las Vegas and Orange County.

See that. Closest to me are over 12 miles out. Though I know some who live in Anaheim but they've never mentioned it, I will ask.

One place I hope keeps expanding is G Burger. I've only had it once, but it was a pretty big motherfucker, reasonably priced (a shade under Five Guys) and a tasty burger. Very customizable like Five Guys with good sides like beer battered fried zucchini and shiz.
There's a group at work who are going around and rating all the burger places nearby (I wasn't invited, fuckers), and G Burger so far is taking the top spot. I will tell them to give Farmer Boys a go.

Random thought while walking to the bus stop after feasting: Five Guys In & Out Farmer Boys. Sounds like a Gayngbang.

Another huge minus for In & Out that I got reminded of: the wait time. 24 minutes to wait for your food. I clocked that shit, and that's not including waiting to get to the register to order. If there was a McD's near by, I'd have gotten one of their Double Cheese Burgers for scientific comparison, but that looks pretty damn close to me for size (though, this tastes better, no contest on that part). Bun might be a little bigger though. One plus that I do need confirmation: in the 12 years I've lived here now, I don't think In & Out has raised their prices much, if at all. Seems like the Double Double has been the same price this whole time. Fries are still awful though.

Thats the first real In-N-Out burger i have ever seen and just by looks i cant imagine that being better than five guys. Looks like a cross between a Mcdonalds and a school lunch burger.

It tastes significantly better than McD's and a School Lunch burger, though, lol

And that burger doesn't look quite as good either. You may be shafted with lesser quality In N Outs. I'll post a comparison soon.

As far as price, I haven't kept tabs as closely with them as say Chipotle, but I pay 4.00 total after tax for a double chee by itself. That ain't shabby.

And not even an apology or a bonus shake or something (at Wendy's, if something took too long by our standards, we offered a free small Frosty) for taking so long. They always take a long time in my experience, but I do feel like that was the longest I've had to wait. 15 seems about average to me. And that patty example is about the norm of what I always receive too, at various locations, not just the one on Clay/Van Buren

Currently waiting. I ordered one meal, with an additional two burgers purchased. This is literally the busiest I've ever seen this In N Out. About 40 customers in here. There are at least 15 workers here, though. The kitchen is packed.

I rarely have to wait at Chipotle if they are out of meat or something and have to cook some more. Whenever I do wait, my food is free.

Pic coming soon.
Wait time was 6 minutes. Bare in mind this was also the most packed I have probably ever seen this In N Out. About 40+ people in the building, not including the drive thru. 24 minutes is outrageous. Especially considering I ordered three burgers.

Pic taken during wait time. At least 15+ peeps working. Burger itself. Typical size of the burger (double cheeseburger, everything offered except onion). Ample cheese, and this pic was also taken nine minutes after it was ordered. So it's probably a little less presentable than it would've been.

Bro Namath, you got shafted with that crappy In N Out of yours. Your patty looks almost pathetically dried out compared to the one I got, and the camera I have on my phone doesn't produce anywhere near the picture quality as yours does. I think my patty is a little larger as far as diameter goes, and I don't even know if you got two cheese slices (assuming you got the double chee).

I was kind of shocked to see how crappy D's looked. I've been to probably half a dozen different In N Outs in my time and every one of them were matching quality as far as the picture I took.
