I heard nothing but excitement about Sonic before they got here and they ended up just being generic fast food. Wonder if they were always overrated or if they altered their food as they rapidly expanded? Sonic sucks. My city has wanted one for years. It's mind-boggling. I agree it sucks

We finally got a Five Guys a year and a half ago. I tried it about 6 months ago and really liked it. The price was a little steep though. My boss bought it for me, so it was even more delicious. My city has the first Tasty Made by Chipotle that just opened in early October. I haven't tried it based on people's reviews. Co worker told me today that it was like $11 total for a burger and a drink. The menu is limited and simple, which I don't mind. But people are not raving about it at all. Here in Central Ohio, we usually get to try new shit out first. The ultimate test market. We are to blame for obesity in America. McDonalds always puts up billboards that rag on Michigan (it's a football thang), when they test a new item out here. It usually says why Ohio is better than Michigan.....because we get to try the newest and latest.

Oh...and food trucks are very popular here too. Especially in the hipster areas in Columbus. If Foo ever did a tour of America, I know the exact venues to park outside of, in which he would make a killing on a Friday or Saturday night. Weekdays.....the Brewery District where the Blue Jackets play is where it's at.

Man. Double-doubles are by no means huge (I sometimes get 3x3's) but they are definitely bigger than McD's double cheeseburgers. Dunno what the hell's going on in Riverside, shrinking burgers. Two of my "regular" In n Outs are in Rancho Cucamonga and Fontana on Foothill, which claims to be one of the busiest In n Outs That would be the one I'd hit up when I was picking stuff up at that Guitar Center, lol.

I want a crave crate Me too, man. The onions must be carmelized though. Sometimes the grill cook gets too antsy and doesn't cook the onions. The cooked ones really tie the flavor together.

I mentioned this thread to a good friend of mine at work and he's never had White Castle so we found out there's one about 2 1/2 hours away in Whitehall Pennsylvania. Will be going very soon.

I usually hear about Checkers as competition. I can't judge because I've never had it. Checkers is basically Sonic. Ordinary fast food.

Sonic used to be decent. I know they have added a shit ton to their menu in recent years, though. I haven't had it in a while. Buddy of mine likes food like I do...a little on the spicy side. He told me the other day that they have added a shit ton of spicier options. Its funny.....Sonic is a national client of ours at Cintas. I don't even know what is on their menu.

Ordinary fast food. i would say that mcdonalds or burger king are ordinary fastfood. checkers is better than that. hell, wendy's is better too, but still closer to the ordinary side than checkers. i can't speak for sonic though.

Been awhile since I have been to checkers, but I did not have anything from there that was better than a whopper.

You know, back when they actually flame broiled it, not microwave it, pretend it goes through a broiler, and leave it sitting in water getting bland like they do nowadays.

The "middle class" of fast food just has no value for me. Not enough quantity or quality.
